# Zvessa > Zvessa is an AI-first app where anyone builds a space (pages, chats, games, shops, journals, team spaces, anything) by describing it. The space is one JSON document, the blueprint, made of blocks, styles, data collections, optional kits and sandboxed mini-apps. The AI proposes changes as JSON Patch, a person approves, and every version can be undone. Outside AIs build through its MCP server with the same tools. Each page below is also available as Markdown: swap .html for .md in its address. llms-full.txt has every page in one file. ## Build your space - [Getting started](https://docs.zvessa.com/guide/start.md): Zvessa is a place you build by talking. - [Building by chat](https://docs.zvessa.com/guide/ask.md): The AI can do everything HQ can do. - [Editing pages and HQ](https://docs.zvessa.com/guide/pages.md): People who manage the space see an Edit button on every page. - [Features (kits)](https://docs.zvessa.com/guide/features.md): Every feature is optional. - [People, roles and privacy](https://docs.zvessa.com/guide/people.md): And how people join: invite only, ask to join (you approve and pick their role), or open. - [Games, calls and TV](https://docs.zvessa.com/guide/play.md): Add a party feature (Trivia night, Quiz board, Survey showdown, Charades, Party pack) or ask the AI to make any game. - [Mini-apps and the app library](https://docs.zvessa.com/guide/apps.md): A mini-app is a small app inside your space, like a calculator, a timer, a drawing board or a game. - [Connect your AI, keys and services](https://docs.zvessa.com/guide/connect.md): Your space is an MCP server. - [Your account and notifications](https://docs.zvessa.com/guide/account.md): Open Notifications from HQ or the bell. - [Questions](https://docs.zvessa.com/guide/faq.md) ## Developers - [Building on Zvessa](https://docs.zvessa.com/dev/index.md): Everything a person, a developer or their AI needs to build anything on Zvessa, and everything the system gives them from the first minute. - [Quick start](https://docs.zvessa.com/dev/quickstart.md): Open the app and sign up. - [The blueprint](https://docs.zvessa.com/dev/blueprint.md): One JSON document per space holds everything a person can see or change. - [Blocks](https://docs.zvessa.com/dev/blocks.md): A block is data: { id, kind, props?, children?, visibleTo? }. - [Styles](https://docs.zvessa.com/dev/styles.md): How everything looks is data: a style. - [Data](https://docs.zvessa.com/dev/data.md): Two kinds of live data, both kept out of the blueprint: records (things people add, from the Collections engine) and events (things that happened, from the Events engine). - [People, roles and access](https://docs.zvessa.com/dev/people.md): One model fits a family, a team, a class, a business or a fan club: roles the space names, seven fixed permission verbs, and access rules for who can find and join. - [Kits](https://docs.zvessa.com/dev/kits.md): Everything beyond the dashboard is an optional kit. - [Engines](https://docs.zvessa.com/dev/engines.md): Engines are the only server code a feature needs. - [Templates](https://docs.zvessa.com/dev/templates.md): A template is a ready-made starting point: a blueprint (pages, kits, roles, a look) that a new space starts from. - [Mini-apps](https://docs.zvessa.com/dev/miniapps.md): A mini-app is custom logic that blocks can't express: a game, a calculator, a drawing board, a 3D scene. - [The AI, bots and capabilities](https://docs.zvessa.com/dev/ai.md): The AI chat on the dashboard builds the space. - [AI jobs](https://docs.zvessa.com/dev/ai-jobs.md): Streaming replies, background builds, model sizes and notes. - [AI limits](https://docs.zvessa.com/dev/ai-limits.md): How much AI each person and each space may use, so nobody uses up a space's day and the server's Claude key can't run up a bill. - [Notifications](https://docs.zvessa.com/dev/notify.md): The Notify engine. - [Account](https://docs.zvessa.com/dev/account.md): Delete my account, forgot password, change email, change password, and sign out on other devices. - [API](https://docs.zvessa.com/dev/api.md): The app, HQ, the AI, outside AIs and any other client use the same Convex functions under the same permissions. - [Device features](https://docs.zvessa.com/dev/device.md): Zvessa draws real native screens (Expo, React Native), so blocks, kits and mini-apps can use the phone itself: icons, haptics, sensors, camera, push and more. - [Performance for builders](https://docs.zvessa.com/dev/performance.md): Zvessa must feel instant and never drain the battery or heat the phone, on a five-year-old Android as much as a new iPhone. - [Security and safety](https://docs.zvessa.com/dev/security.md): What the system already guards, so a builder doesn't have to. ## Reference - [Catalog](https://docs.zvessa.com/reference/catalog.md): Generated from the code by node --no-warnings docs/build/catalog.mjs. ## Optional - [The in-app AI](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/agent.md): Code: convex/ai.ts. Key: the space's own Claude key from its vault ("Connect your AI" in HQ, or the Connections page). - [Blocks](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/blocks.md): A block is data: { id, kind, props?, children? }. - [Bots and automations](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/bots.md): Bots are AI teammates in your space. - [Capabilities: MCP, your own keys, outside services](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/capabilities.md): The Capabilities engine lets a space reach outside Zvessa, and lets anything outside build it. - [Core](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/core.md): What every workspace has, always, with no switch. - [HQ](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/hq.md): HQ is where the people who run a space see and change everything. - [Kits](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/kits.md): Everything beyond the dashboard is an optional kit: a bundle a person adds to their space only if they want it. - [Layers and the blueprint](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/layers.md): Quick test for something new: - [Layout, text and tokens](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/layout.md): Every page in Zvessa is built from the same small set of layout and text blocks. - [Live: calls, streams, media and TV](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/live.md): Three engines (docs/KITS.md), four kits. - [Game lobbies](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/lobby.md): A games page that looks and feels like a real game app, made only of blocks. - [Performance, battery and size](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/performance.md): Zvessa has to feel instant on a mid-range phone, stay cool, and stay small. - [Photo books](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/photobook.md): A photo book is a blueprint setting (blueprint.books): a cover, then pages that each lay out a few photos from a feed (the Gallery by default). - [Designed QR codes](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/qr.md): A QR code is a block like any other: what it holds and how it looks are props, so the AI (in the app or over MCP) and a person in HQ make the same thing. - [Record views and the Journal starter](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/records.md): Record views are more ways to show and write a collection's records, on the Collections engine. - [Reviews and ratings](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/reviews.md): Star ratings with words and photos about anything: services, products, places, games, mini-apps, people, a collection's records. - [Moderation and safety (the Safety engine)](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/safety.md): What the app stores ask for wherever people post: a way to report content and people, a way to block people, a filter for objectionable words, and someone who acts on reports. - [Search](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/search.md): One search across a space: pages, records, messages, feed posts, people and files. - [Templates and kits people make](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/sharing.md): Any space can be saved as a template (the whole space: pages, tabs, look, words, and everything they use) and any pages as a kit (those pages plus the collections, conversations, feeds, books, games, - [Feeds and social kits](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/social.md): One engine, many kits. - [Styles](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/styles.md): A style decides how everything looks: the dashboard, HQ, every block, the AI chat and mini-apps. - [Starter templates](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/templates.md): A starter template is a ready mix of kits, pages, words, tabs and a style. - [Style tokens](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/tokens.md): Every look in Zvessa comes from a style: a small record of settings called tokens. - [Public links and web pages](https://docs.zvessa.com/more/web.md): A space's pages open in any browser, without the app: a link-in-bio, a portfolio, a business page, a menu, a guestbook.
